Acupuncturist
NWPP Peconic Bay, Wading River, NY
Job Description
Ensures optimal delivery of acupuncture services to inpatients and outpatients, staff and caregivers. Provides direct intervention utilizing acupuncture therapies, as required.
Job Responsibility
- Makes diagnoses and determines treatment strategies.
- Meets with patients to obtain information about their symptoms and medical history.
- Provides acupuncture sessions; evaluates treatment outcomes and maintain patient records.
- Explains procedures to patients and prepares them for treatment.
- Assists in the coordination of clinical schedules and client flow.
- Liaises with medical staff on the role of acupuncture for patients and staff.
- Provides in-services to medical staff groups, in conjunction with integrative medicine coordinator.
- Participates in hospital committees and meetings as requested.

Job Qualification
- Associate’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Current License to practice as an Acupuncturist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $75,020-$126,250/year
